If the thought of running a half or full marathon seems a little too much, or you just enjoy running with a group for friends and fitness, consider joining our 10k training program. A 10k race is 6.2 miles and is a very achievable distance and also a rewarding experience!
Our 16 week 10k program is geared towards running the Devil Mountain Run held in Danville the first weekend in May, however you don’t need to run this race (or any race) to participate in our program.
The program will start with orientation and kick-off together with our half and full marathon programs in January at Osage Station Park in Danville. The 10k program includes all of the features of our half and full marathon program including our weekly Saturday group runs, a training schedule to follow during the week, our awesome “keep moving forward” team shirt, and enthusiastic and supportive coaches.
The 10k program is a great way to get started with running and achieve a goal without committing to a longer race distance. After the 16 weeks, members can optionally register for an additional 10 weeks if they want to continue to the half marathon distance.
